COLUMBIA—(BUSINESS WIRE)– Tuesday, January 12, 2021 – The Diversity Consortium today announces Rob Travia has been named President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.  As President & COO, Rob will have general operational responsibilities including the business development, partner management and support services activities.

Rob has extensive global supply chain and operations leadership and contract management experience at a corporate level of several billion-dollar businesses, and a demonstrated track record of exemplary operations results, big data analyzation, cost improvement performance, increasing revenue growth and profitability with P&L accountability across some very well-known organizations such as Rolls-Royce, United Technologies Corporation and Rockwell Collins.

Rob brings to the Diversity Consortium over 30 years of global leadership experience as a supply chain and operations leader in the aerospace, automotive, and energy industries.  He has extensive experience with both direct and indirect procurement and a proven track record implementing process improvement initiatives, driving cost reduction strategies and execution, and optimizing inventory management and logistics. Rob also has wide-ranging experience implementing lean practices throughout an organization.  He will be instrumental in leading the Diversity Consortium’s customers to improve their diversity programs and more quickly achieve their goals and objectives. Most recently, Rob was the Regional Vice President & Senior Executive Partner of The Plan Consulting Group.  Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Supply Chain for HAECO Cabin Solutions, led Hardware and Indirect Global Sourcing & Supply Chain for Rockwell Collins, and held progressively responsible roles at Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, and Rolls Royce including leading Turbo machinery for Rolls Royce Energy.

Rob has earned a Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering from Drexel University (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA), an MBA in International Business from the Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland, UK), and a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University (Minneapolis, Minnesota USA) where he published work on the organizational drivers of job satisfaction.
